According to a notice from DHL Hong Kong, starting from November 24, 2012, Saudi Arabian Customs will implement the following new regulations, which require invoices to have payment methods and all item descriptions. The recipient must fill out a payment details statement,
All goods declared exceeding USD150 must be accompanied by a form with the following information, signed and stamped by the sender. This document must include the following information:
1: Payment date
2: Value
3: Sender's bank name
4: The recipient's bank name
5: Transfer number of goods
The payment method must be displayed on the invoice, such as "bank transfer, check, inter company transfer, cash, credit card, letter of credit, etc."
The following situations are not within the new regulations:
1: Goods declared below USD150
2: Declaration of goods sent to individuals within USD13250 will be considered "personal use" by Saudi Customs - for example, if 3 iPads are classified as personal use, but 25 are classified as commercial use, the consignee must comply with the new regulations and provide an explanation to Customs
3: For goods declared to be paid in cash or credit card within USD13250, the sender needs to indicate on the invoice: cash or credit card
4: The goods are presented as gifts and cash payment is indicated on the invoice
